Robin Mason, PhD. is a Research Scientist at Women's College Hospital in the Violence and Health Research Program and an Assistant Professor in the Dalla Lana School of Public Health as well as the Department of Psychiatry, at the University of Toronto. Dr. Mason has been a mentor in the Ontario College of Family Physician's Women's Ontario Medical Mentoring Education Program (WOMMEN) and a mentor in the CIHR-Funded IMPART program (Intersections of Mental Health Perspectives in Addictions Research Training). Her research focuses on women's experiences of violence and abuse, particularly intimate partner violence (IPV), and educating health care professionals about these issues. She is the Co-PI on a CIHR-funded study of the ways in which pregnant women with past histories of interpersonal trauma negotiate the transition to motherhood as well as developing and implementing a curriculum on the intersection of intimate partner violence with mental health.
